According to an online article, General Motors has purchased 50 percent of VM Motori from Penske Corp. The diesel manufacturer was the provider of diesel engines for the Jeep Liberty CRD models in recent years; they have been previously stated to be the diesel engine manufacturer for the 2010 proposed 'oil burning' Cadilac adn Saturn vehicles.
