Having a V-12 Audi R8 TDI Le Mans would make even the most avid gas super car owners envious and being able to efficiently motor at 25 mpgs pretty impressive too. With a near 4 second 0-60 time coming from a clean Adblue diesel powerplant and pumping out 737 lb. ft of torque, this Audi might be just the first in a series of diesel supercars.

Winding Road published an article detailing this car in Miami Florida last month for the June 2008 issue of their digital magazine which included a short video interview with R8 TDI project leader Thomas Krauter. This is a nice diesel ... although I suspect might be out of reach ($$$) for most Volkwagen TDI owners?
