Announcing Jon's Auto Performance Tuning Session w/Rocket Chip on Saturday November 8, 2008 beginning at 8AM.

All TDI Enthusiasts are welcome to attend this special event presenting Jeff of Rocket Chip Tuning. Rocket Chip offers the best in Chip Tuning Performance, so do not miss this bi-annual appearance.  We will be doing chip tuning, injector installs and other minor work  if necessary. This will be a first come first serve event starting at 8AM. In the past we have had quite a turn out, so please be prepared  to wait (i.e. bring food). This is a great opportunity to view our new waiting area and check out what we do at Jon's Auto.

Next CinciTDI GTG is scheduled for November 1, 2008 at Charlie's home (CGS) in Montgomery Ohio -- north east of downtown Cincinnati. His  location is off of  I-71 inside the I-275 outer belt.  The GTG is scheduled from 9 am until 3 pm, although as usual, emergencies might extend that period. Please RSVP, if attending on our YahooGroup list. If you need wrenching assistance, please post that need and make prior arrangements with one of our wonderful mechanics.

Our host comments: "A grill and picnic table will be available; Bob Evans and Subway are nearby. There is no auto parts store nearby. The neighbors are friendly. I hope you like dogs."

This year at TDIFest OH-8 we had a road rally as an event, one of the participants Fred (TeDeYe1) had the forsight to video the drive.

The drive was from Kings Island Resort to Red Stewart Airfield, in Waynesville Ohio among some of the more creative backroads Rich picked from.

The video is sped up considerably as the drive took around 45 minutes.

North Carolina TDIClub member “coolbreeze” may bring his new 2009 Volkswagen Sportwagen TDI to the TDIFest over Labor Day weekend - thread. If he does, it will be the first one most of us will have seen. Crossing my fingers that you can make it Bruce!

If you live near Cincinnati Ohio and drive a VW TDI (or envy to own one), but haven't registered for TDIFest OH8, then this is a reminder for you -- Don't delay in getting your registration in by August 1st. This is an important deadline primarily for planning purposes, but for you as well in offering you the most benefits at the best price.

The North American TDIFest is a once a year gathering of TDI-lovers and is a not-to-be-missed event, especially since it is rarely within 'one tank' driving distance. (well perhaps for a TDI it should be a "one tank round trip" driving distance!)
